Hi all my daughters 22000 mile seicento won't rev to build speed up it starts perfect and isles perfect and will drive very well just won't rev to build speed up its a w reg and only done 200 miles each year for the past 6 years any help would be great

Check belt timing. There a non interference engine so no worry about valve damage.
My seicentos sporting I bought, the next day I went to start it, started grand, went to move with a bit of rev and it just died. Check your timing
More than likely 1-2 teeth out

Hi rallycinq, i have just bought the car but was told it was an old gent that only went to the shops and looking at the old mot data he only did around 200 miles a year it has had a new air filter and it looks like new fuel pipes as these are blue.
I'm not sure which engine is fitted but i think its a single pot injector 900cc if you need more info where will i find it ? Thanks In Advance

200 miles a year in short journeys would kill a lesser car.

oil looks good and filter looks recently changed I've had exhaust off and its clear I've blown the fuel filter under the car through and its clear I've ran pump and fuel comes through but not at high pressure ? Is it low pressure pump ? It runs fine and revs fine up fine to about 5 miles then starts to have the problem i would guess once its warmed up !
Check the nominal values on the temp sender.

My cinq ran perfect still but the timing was out a full 2 teeth( as I was learning to drive, looking for 3rd but put it in first ?) but it's a 1108
so I've checked the temperature sensor and its working ok I've checked spark plugs and leads they seam ok its an ohv engine so no cam belt to slip. I will be checking the fuel pump for visual faults but not sure what to look for ? Does anybody know how the choke operates on this spi engine i am wondering if its not switching off ? Also does any body know how much pressure the fuel pump should operate at . Again thanks for any help
There is no choke, automatic enrichment is carried out by the ECU.

no warning lights at all .
It gradually gets worse the further you go,it gets so bad you can only just touch the accelerater , any more and it starts missing . How do i check the coils ? I'm seriously considering an engine swap as my daughter won't drive it now in case in breaks down and she is stranded !!

Coils do two cylinders each, so should be a massive missfire.
No lights suggests the ecu thinks everything is ok. It would see the unburnt fuel if the coils had failed.
Check the crank sensor and its bracket are ok and invest in multiscan before investing in an engine.

i have now changed the fuel pump and it will now run for longer journeys so i think the fuel system was blocked up i have put an mpi pump in it but the car is very jerky like there is still a blockage somewhere ! How much of the carb do i need to strip to clean it out the fuel looks like it goes straight into the single injector above the carb ,, is that correct ? If that's the only place it goes how would i clean the injector ? Thanks again for help
an MPi pump runs at 3 times the pressure of the SPi.
Check the fuel regulator is working ok.
