eLearn says:

Open the tailgate.
1. Undo the bolts securing the light cluster.

1. Extract light cluster (1a), pulling it back in order to release retainers (1b).

Withdraw the light cluster in a longitudinal direction to avoid damaging the internal retainer.

You've found the two bolts. The retainers are positioned one between where the two fixings are, and two right at the other end of the light unit. I don't know if they are latching hooks, or just locating pegs. Someone else must have done it, but I think its probably just eat your Weetabix and pull ( straight back ) harder!

Thanks for your help but i cant see the images could you maybe email them to me or get them to work again?

Be careful as i pulled a bit to hard and a little bit of the housing where the clips locks in broke. It didnt cause any damage as the cluster was just as hard to push back in!!.

The only way is to pull real hard and hope you dont break something, unless you want to go to a garage and pay the labour.

TIP if you break your cluster, jus tell the dealer the lights form condensation and hey presto you get new light clusters(y)

GOOD LUCK

So just undo those two bolts and pull, and hope for the best.

I broke a clip on mine aswell. Nothing to worry about though, very secure without it.

As said though, you just have to pull it, hard!

I first undid the screws.
If you look past the black plastic at the top of the rear light nearest the front of the car you can just about see the grommets. There are two, one above the other, about 2 inches in.
I wrapped some tape around a flat head screwdriver, to prevent damage, and inserted it in the gap between the car and the black plastic, down to the grommet. I then pulled the screwdriver toward the back of the car and gently levered off the back light and it came off with no trouble.

Had exactly the same problem and it makes you feel stupid with screws undone and you are pulling as hard as you dare and nothing is happening!:bang:

Latest post on this is absolutely right in that you need to gently lever back the light unit from the body of the car as it is held in tight by the two lugs at the front which arent mentioned.

I got a flat plastic spatula from the kitchen and putting it between the car body and the light unit levered it backwards.Watch out though when it does release it can come out so quickly that it is easily dropped (as I did but without harm).

When released good idea to clean up other bulbs as they are usually a bit dirty.(y)

These things are scary at first, its the same with the door panels... you just pull until it comes off... no matter how horrible it feels (y)
