help on afew things please?

my sidelight,headlight,full beam have all went out on one side,indicator still works though,all bulbs are fine,fuses are fine and there are no obvious loose connections? a point is that everything was fine until i disconnected my headunit and refitted it as it wasnt in properly and i had 2 adjust the wiring behind it to get it to fit, dont know if that might make a difference

also my car running sounds a bit metally,a bit like its got a dry throat if you get my drift,ive been told that it my cams may be worn and the guy mumbled something about taking the rocker cover off and if something or other has marks on it then i should take it off and leave it in oil over night? couldnt get the rocker cover off cuz the bolts havent been touched in decades,so have sprayed with wd40 and hopefully it will be easier 2moro, any help on this is appreciated!

have you checked oil levels?

also the problem with the light my be a loose earth, have you checked all earths?

sorry to be a pain but do you know where they are earthed to? my engine bay is a mess with wires at the moment, yeah my oil level is fine

take the hu back out and have a look at all the wires, sounds to me like you could have shorted something or snagged it on something

as for whiping the head off, when its off have a look at the condition of the cams, any marking or sccoring would indicate the dreaded blocked oil feed
