Help No fuel reaching engine

Hello can anyone help,I think my fuel pump is faulty, however it buzzes as it should ,but no fuel reaches engine.I have even dissconnected fuel lines from top of pump and turned ignition.but no fuel comes out.my car is a 1998 1.6 brava any info would be great cheers

Assuming it is the pump that you hear buzzing, then it's most likely that it's working O.K.

If the buzzing is quite loud, then maybe it's not submersed in fuel as it should be - remember, your fuel gauge could be faulty, so don't rule out no fuel in the tank until you've checked. Try also starting with the fuel filler cap removed, just to check that there's no tank venting issue.

The other possibility is a blockage or serious leak somewhere along the feed line - either that or a choked filter and/or debris in the bottom of the tank itself. Good luck, hope this is some help...

fuel pump

buzzing from pump has now completely stopped,am going to scrappy 2day to find replacement.

Before doing anything else I'd try the fuel cut off switch. On the floor by the passenger seat.
