Help needed!

Hi Guys,
I have recently brought a 54plate punto active sport.
There is a light that has started to appear on the dash that is the shape of the steering wheel, any idea's on what this is, any help would be grateful.

The red steering wheel is for your power steering and should come and off upon starting up your motor. If it stays on then there is a problem somewhere (someone else confirm this?)

Cheers Danny, who you advise me to take it back to fiat or is it an easy job to do?

Have you checked the level of the power steering liquid in the engine bay?

I'm not a mechanic I'm afraid! I suppose it could be any number of things, like the post above have you checked your power steering fluid?

I havent checked the level of fluid in there yet, il do that tomorrow, cheers for the advice guys

Steering is electronically powered on these so no fluid
