Technical Help needed with rear brake shoes

the mechanic trying to fix my van wants me to scrap it he cant get the drums back on due to brake shoes are to big can anyone help please 03 cargo jtd

Was he being serious? I'd suggest you try another garage.

Never heard so much nonsense. As suggested change mechanic or do the work yourself. Quite easy if you're handy with the spanners.

hes had 4 sets of shoes delivered but still wont let him get drums on he said he thinks something has ben messed with somewhere spoke to fiat garage and they said there are two types over capacity ones and another set just wondered if anyone had came across this

you can measure the WIDTH of the shoe easily, and the DRUM Diameter will give you the majority of the other info..,

yes - it can be awkward in some circumstances.. BUT not a big deal..,

as others have said,
at least do the homework , and source the CORRECT parts yourself,
