Hi guys, need help figuring out what's the next step for my cinquecento to go a bit quicker :)

Here is what I have on it at moment :

- Genuine CRICH chipped ECU

- Dexcraft carbon fibre bob

- Columbo and Bariani mar road 280s 10.3mm Camshaft

- 40mm Tricker throttle body with ported inlet manifold

- SuperSprint manifold 4-2-1

- SuperSprint center section

- Magnex end exhaust

SO, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP ?

Just to say, turbo conversion is not what I want, neither a engine swap.

Thanks guys !

Haha :) i got some of these hills near my house :)

Can't do weight reduction, want to keep the inside as original as possible...

So nothing else ?! Really ?

Porting ? What do you mean ? Which part ?

Gas flowing the cylinder head. But make sure you take it to someone who knows what they're doing. A ported Uno 45 inlet manifold is also helpful (better shape -- one of the German companies is/was selling replicas as go faster parts).

Lightening the flywheel -- we've discussed that before -- will help acceleration, but won't increase power. With a LHD car you are quite literally putting -- at least -- your fertility at risk if you lighten the standard one. Indeed, one well known FIAT engine builder recons that the process is simply uneconomic as, doing it properly, you spend so much time crack testing the bloody things. Steel or billet aluminium alloy is the way to go if you're serious.

open out the inlet manifold local to valve similar to the new head some photos in one of cc1 threads.
skim close to interference
but you need to be an air flow expert not merely own a dremel
lighten balance and radius crank journals
ditto rods you want to be happy the parts keep rotating if you miss a gear or need to hold occasionally
vortex generator between head and exhaust manifold to improve lower come on cam RPM holding a lower gear in a hill climb might shave a 0.1 of time

Haha all of that seem soooo complicated for a 20 years old beginner in mechanic... I'll think about it LOL. So basically, I did all the "easy" stuff ?

Yes you may be close to all you can get bolt on but if you get a good head from a breaker you post to a good head man and wait for the return package, fit the camshaft...

You ask for inlets constant crossection to valves, also seats and valves refurbed, maybe have followers scalloped for weight reduction, maybe skimmed to near interference.

The crank and pistons good machine shop.

If you are going to do track days or hill climbs with a new RPM gauge you need to think about fatigue margins on cracks and rods.

But if you blow the engine you can fit a 1200 8v and transplant the bolt ons.

Yes head is from medion, so was done I think.. I don't want to give tuning work to a workshop, to expensive for me, and not the purpose of the project (everything should be done only by me). The other parts you guys are telling me about, never heard about them, will do researches on them !

not much else you can do now really other than things already stated above. You could think about going mpi, so P75 head and get that ported and flowed, fit your fancy cam in it and bolt it on your engine. Will run on the 1.1 spi ecu but would run better on a P75 ecu or fit something aftermarket like the aforementioned DET3 so you can getting it properly dialled in on the RR to take full advantage of all the mods on it.

The only other things you can fit at reasonable cost to get the best of your mods are a vernier cam pulley and a DET3.

I can't find anything about DET3, what is it ?

Thanks blu73, I'll read about it.

For the carbs. I was actually looking into that.

- for the moment I have a 40 mm TB, with ported inlet manifold.

- what would be the difference with a custom made double weber carburetor in 36mm.

I have the possibility to have one, so wan to know what the gains would be, advantages and disadvantages. Also, what would be a "good price" for one of these custom part (inlet manifold + the two carburetors) ?
