then it sounds like the idle speed control actuator on the throttle body isnt moving, which suggests it is faulty or the coolant temp sensor is faulty, or either of those 2 have a wiring/connector fault.
What reg is it? I seem to remember the idle on one of the TDs is controlled by a bulb valve on a long wire from the thermostat. Check it's ajusted correctly.
The cable can get gummed up in the return spring where it attaches to the pump. Clean all that, oil it and check for free movement. Also that the cable running back through the engine is totally bend/constraint free .
I have that on the accelorator cable where the cable arrives at the end of the sheath near the throttle body... it's like chewing gum! what the hell causes it and how can i get rid of it?
I took most of it off but there must be some lining the cable outer as it sticks badly in cold weather.
I bought a new cable but it's a pain in the bum to get the cover off the bulkhead.
