Technical help my cinq is sick

[xx(]hello all my wife and i own a 1994 sx cinq and it was the first one in the uk rhd,its in great condition but sick.it seems so rev and rev all on its own.when the car is cold it runs like a dream but as soon as it is warm it starts to play up.revving on and the idle speed is all over the place,then when you put your foot down there is know power until all of a sudden its ok and you are off until the next time i have looked at ever thing the only thing left is the ecu.can anyone put some light on the subject for me,we dont want to get rid of the car as it was the one that was used to make the original brochure and is mint as i said .thanks for the help and your time.ian clemson.

Probably a sensor gone down, Lambda sensor is the usual suspect.
