help.marea weekend 1.9td

i have a marea weekend 1.9td i cant switch the engine off when i turn the key the lights come on but it just keeps running the sound changes and i have to stall it to stop it,it starts ok again and runs ok no warning lights any ideas? please

So what you are saying is that after you turn the key to "0" the lights come on and the engine runs still ??!!

Souns like its a problem with the key barrel (electrics on it), not sure though

yes i can even take the keys out and it runs it sounds rough when i turn the key to 0 the sounds ok if i turn it back to the start position

Have you tried with other keys ??

no as i only have the red key it worked ok this morning the it started and stopped the it cut out on way home so i bumped statred it while it was still going then i got home and hey i couldnt switch it off,i am at work now a long 40 mile journey here and still the same i have to stall it to stop it but it still starts and runs ok
