HELP!!! Injector Warning light!!

Hi All!

Can anyone help! The injector warning light has just lit up on the dashboard and the car is now running rough!
has anyone any ideas on how to rectify this problem without having to spend a fortune at Fiat? Thanks all!

You will need a diag done to be 100% sure, but first when was the car last serviced and what was changed ???

i found when mine came on it was the potensiomitor and nock sensor on my hgt

Thank you so much for replying! the car was last serviced 2 months ago (44,000m) its been fine until now, the symtoms include the injector warning light displaying as well as the car is running slightly rough and losing power, its like its missing a little!...we really cant afford to take the car to Fiat at the moment so would really appreciate any advice you can give us!

Well the first start to look IMO wold be the leads and the plugs, but as I mentioned, only a Fiat Diagnostic check (around 20pounds) can say you what exactly is the problem. All other replacements and hunting down the cause can result in money loss.

But would the spark plugs and HT leads make the injector warning light come on if the were faulty?

As I know not, but if they dont work other sensors pick up wrong inputs, that result in an error code.

Probably a dead injector. A diag would be the best course of action as its cheaper than replacing random parts.

Hi Tom!

Would taking the HT leads off one at a time indicate which injector is possibly faulty?..if so would it effect the computer in any way?

I was quoted a frankly ridiculous £78 + VAT for a diag at autoworld Fiat in sheffield.

If there's more than one Fiat garage nearby it's worth phoning them all as there seems to be massive variation. Also some independent specialist now have the kit to do the diags apparently.
