If i was you i would look at the 1.8HLX ...only group 8 to insure aswell!

But other then that!

Red key is a must!!!rear wiper motor goes...And make sure the cam belts been done!by its age it should have been done!

otherwise general things that you would look at with any other car?

Its a decent mileage, but it is still 6 years old. The belt should really have been changed last year. also, the last service should have been VERY thorough. As it says extensive service history, not full, indicates current owner didn't exactly follow the schedule, and is unlikely to have forked out for a full service that includes the belt recently. Factor that cost in and i'm thinking £1500 is a fair as the car probably hasn't had its cambelt changed. Assuming everything else is fine. just opinion though. it hard to be accurate without documents.

As Paul says, if you are in no rush, try for a 1.8
I recently moved up to a 1.8 from the 1.4, and boy was it worth it!

Im not gunna be able to afford the insurance for a 1.8

21 and its my first car. I only passed about 9 months ago.

I would Love a 1.8 though!

I'd get a diesel and get it remapped :)

Low Insurance group & 150bhp, what more needs to be said ;)

Daz

@Daz... yeah i agree but they cost alot more to buy!

..........

Get a quote on the 1.8 i think you will be pleasently surprised... i got my 1st 1.8HLX when i was 17!

Honestly get a quote, the 1.8 has so many more things that the 1.6 doesnt have! the body kit is slightly different, you get a spoiler etc... they have heated seats,e/w, e/m, e/s, some have a/c and some even have leather (although you are more likely to see the queen on the bog then get one with leather!)... The seats are more sporty, so is the steering wheel... Oh yeah and it goes better!!!

GET A QUOTE BEFORE YOU RULE IT OUT!

I bought it

MINT Quality. Still had to pay £1800 for it though! The guy wouldnt budge. Its had all the servicing to it so i couldnt use that to drop the price.

Still quality buy i reckon.

Cam Belt?

Still say 1.8HLX but its the car YOU are going to use so if you are happy with this one then all the best with it, i hope its as good as you say/hope!

i agree 1.8 are dirt cheap to insure, i had one at 18 and another when i was 19, im 23 now and my alfa is not much cheaper to insure after 6 yrs driving and 5 yrs no claims

I m selling my Bravo if your interested Stephen.

Its a 1.2SX 80 16V, Y reg, 42K on clock, basically same as above with electrics and that, although its also got clear side repeaters and a chrome gear surround (still got original as well just incase) MOT march 2005, Tax Jan 2005, cheap insurance as well, I m after about £2000

Oh yeah its also got a toad alarm system with remote central locking and the all important red key!

Its got new cambelt, new shocks, new brake pads and discs, new sparks. Drives ace.

I kinda needed the car straight away, so didnt realli have time to check out a 1.8 but thanks for the advice, maybe next time ey?
