can anyone in the Dewsbury area help ID this car? My works been burgled while I was working nights alone and we've had a van broken into and a CAT nicked off another one, we've seen this car on the CCTV, it looks like a modified K reged toyota corolla with big alloys (double 5 spoke i think). any help is always welcome.

imo it cant be an ae92 corolla. wing mirrors are wrong and back end isnt flat enough and rear lights are too narrow.

it looks more like a mk3 astra to me, the lights and wing mirrors are right for a mk3 astra, and the back end shape is too. plus the curve on the front wing/bumper area is so mk3 astra. if it was a corolla there is more of an angled front corner.

the alloys look like 4 spokes, combined with the reg plate positon its distinctive enough to make identification fairly easy if you were to see the car out and about.

I'd go with this option, its deffinately not a corolla

eg civic roof slopes down a lot at the back, and back end if flatter, and wing mirrors are rounder, so imo it cant be an eg civic.

Anyone got a graphics app which could lighten the pic a bit?

then we might be able to see if the fuel cap is on that rear wing...that way we'd know if its a 306!

I'm thinking its got to be Jap due to the square number plate, but I know that doesnt count for much!

It was the way the rear lights have illuminated. Reminds me of an EG with Lexarse lights.

Yeah, agreed! Thats what made me think it was a Civic as well...the rear lights are exactly where they are in that pic...the very edge of the bodywork

How about this though:

Could be a late model Renault 19. Something about the lights is all wrong for a Peugeot 306.
