Help , Help Cam Belt Change !!!!

just about to get my local mechanic to change my cam belt, is there anything else i shold get changed at the same time??

Any hints or tips to look out for ???

all tentioners and also if you can afford it its a good i dea to replace the wtaer pump!

Getting the cam belt on my HGT done next week. DTR are doing a service/cambelt deal. Anyone know how much the water pump costs and how I would know if I need it replaced?

From memory its around £40 for the pump.

...and don't worry if it doesn't need doing, for the sake of £40 change it anyway, because if it does need changing within the next 5yrs/50,000 miles, it will cost you £6-800 to get it done.

He done my 155HGT cambelt, aux belts, all tensioners and water pump for £395

He is an incredibly knowledgeable bloke and comes highly recommended byt myself, Ozric-Al, Paul R and a host of others from the Coupe forum.

He's based in Laindon, just outside Basildon (10 mins from J29 M25)
