Technical Help flat spot on mk2 v8 punto

Hi I have a mk2 punto which I have just serviced but it has a flat spot when accelerating, if you keep the revs up its fine but really hard to drive when setting off.It Judders and cuts out if not enough revs please help.I have just bought some new ht leads to see if that helps but need to sort it because its sending emissions readings unreadable in mot test which keeps failing.also hesitates to accelerate when putting foot down just stutters and delays reving.I need advice
