There is two ways with these head units.
Yellow molex-for a simple aux in with a 3.5 jack plug for your mp3 player ect. [you can get these on ebay as a made up lead]
blue molex- normally used for a cd changer, but you can buy a box of tricks that simulates the cd changer.
On this box is a sd card slot,usb connection [memory stick] and a 3.5 socket.
Box again on ebay, ''yatour'' about £50.
To get the yellow molex connection to work press the cd button twice.
The blue molex connection is automatic,ie you won't be able to play cd's in the head unit,but i'm working on a way to do this with a simple switch on the dash.

Finally all is working
only problem is that sound is too low, so i have to increase volume. when backing to radio i have to low volume again.
also i have to play a silent mp3 on usb port at the same time, if not, 2 sounds at the same time. anyone knows a solution to improove?

There is [in the main menu] ''external volume'' raise this to a number that is higher[mines set to 17]

yes i change volume on ext on the menu....
i will try to explain as clear as i can:
1 - i connect aux in from the phone
2 - to have sound on the radio i have to choose media player (usb sound)
3 - USB sound plays over the aux sound...imagine a scale from 1 to 20 - AUX phone is playing at 10 and USB at 20...
4 - to isolate only aux sound, i put silence.mp3 into the usb
5 - then i have to increase volume on the radio
6 - all its ok but....
7 - when going back to radio or cd i have to pay attention if not, my ears are going to blow
i think that ideal solution would be:
a) to have amplifier
b) switch that automatically just mute the sound coming from usb

I understand what you are saying, but the idea of the external volume control is to match the output volume of your h/unit when you switch to radio.
Mine works fine.

yes. somethings deffo up with your set up.
it all sounds really complicated with what you are trying to achieve.
personally i would ditch the connecting the phone idea.
can't you use bluetooth?
get your self a multimedia interface [yatyour] connect all your stuff to it....done.
