Hi, i have a seicento and need to sort my install out properly,

i havnt got endless knoledge in ICE but i know abit.

i currently run,
Alpine headunit,
Front 10cm kenwood co-axial
Rear quarter 6x9 kenwood quads ampped from a alpine 175w 2channel
sub. rockford fosgate p2 ran from a 'extreme' 330w amp.

the sound is ok but i want to make it better not arsed about volume i want quality. money is tight atm but i will be saving for it in the long run but want to know what im aiming at.

any idas please?

Im no expert, but from what i have read, amped front comps, and a sub, keep all
Of the treble towards the front of the car, as to no muck up the soundstage, then a sub in the boot, also get a better hu? I would also suggest a more powerfull Amp for the sub, also is the box the right size?

Thats just purely what i have picked up from weeks of browsing the ICE threads, hope it helps!

headunit is less than 4months old and is very good imo sony have always been one of the best.

sub and box are straight from rockford so are matched. p2 only have a rwm peak of 300 i tihnk and the amp is 330rms.

Ditching the 6x9's and amping up a set of components up front is what you need to do. So that would ideally be making door builds and installing tweeters into the A pillars.
Im sure the sub is fine if volume isnt all important to you. A good SQ system you wont be able to tell that there is a sub in the back as it integrates with the fronts. .You wont get anything like integration using the standard front speaker sizes.

right. so mount idealls some 6" up front. top or bottom of the door. tweeters arnt really my thing in the a-pillar on a acento could put them in the center on top of the dash....

get rid of 6x9 completely or replace with some other speakers? i use them for trebble atm and slight midbase. (well what you can from 6x9)

well im sure you could put the tweets there but it will be detremental to the sound.

You dont need speakers in the rear. Get the fronts done properly and youl be laughing.

Mids in the bottom where normal mids would be. You will have to be careful what you use. Something like the Phoenix Gold TI elites work well in enclosures which would be the best option for adding comps to the Sei doors.

right so ill take the a-pillars off and work out a way to fit tweets. i imagine lower the better on the pillar?

ill get some 6" comps as soon as i can and fit in door pocket. ll leave the 6x9 for now as i dont have replacement panels but will unplug them :p. and ive just got a better amp for the sub so that sounds much better now.
