Remote locking stopped working about three weeks ago on my 2003 1.2 Punto, and I noticed that the LED light on key was not flashing anymore. I have since changed the battery, LED is now flashing away, but the car doors won't unlock!
Spoke to dealer today and was told that the key could have 'lost' it's code and may need reprogramming costing £50!, or key broken and replacement will be £100 plus reprogramming (total £150).
Surely there must be something I can do to get the car to recognise the key without paying a fortune?
(The immobiliser is still working properly I think, light comes on for a minute when I turn ignition - all good according to the handbook).
Anybody know any tricks?
