Help anyone???

I was putting ma bonnet lifters on, got the drivers side dun nice, cum to ova side and as im screwin in the bonnet ball bolt, the head of the bolt snapped!!! Anyone know how I can get the remainder of the bolt out???

n also, anyone know where I can get a spare ball bolt from???

Do you mean the ball head has come off?
Also how far in is the rest of the screw?

Yep exactly. Ball head has come off. I'd say 95% of the screw is in. Tried puttin pliers to it, but no luck.

Drill it out and retap it.

Oz, I've just bought these, this will sound daft, but how do I use these to extract the bolt? (Laughing at maself!!)

If they are what i think they are, you drill a small hole, screw these in but they turn in anti clockwise, as they get tight it'll eventually start turning the bolt anti clockwise too.

commonly known as easy snap's! be carefull with them as if you do snap one of these in the bolt, you will have a job drilling them out!

I'll take due care mate when I try n get em out. (Hopefully I won't F*** it up!)

One last thing, does anyone know where I can get these bal bolts from? Like any DIY or homebase or any kind of builders stores?

where did u get ur bonnet lifters from? iam after sum myself but cant find them

As Joske has been saying...

Gareth - I believe its something like mk2 corsa ones fit, but i'd take someone else's advice lol

I used to search for them on ebay typing 'haubenlift' but it doesn't bring anything up these days.
