Hi Everyone

I've just joined the forum as my daughter has bought herself a 2000 Punto 1.2 8v and I've become responsible for keeping it running

Personally I drive a 1986 Golf GTI so find these new fangled cars with sensors for everything totally baffling and am amazed that a car that is only 12 years old can rust as much as my daughter's has.

I'm not a total stranger to FIATs my dad had a 128 when I was a kid and I had a Strada 105TC back in the 80s

Compared to a 1986 VW they're not

Equally compared to a 1986 VW they're a damned sight more likely to go wrong in the first place (don't lynch me for saying this) they don't appear to be very robust from what I've seen so far:devil:
