Hi, my name is David and I am the proud owner of a 1999 Mk1 Punto in Arctic white. I bought it for £300 form some one at work. It needed a new head gasket and some other bits and bobs which I did myself. Other than driving it locally the only other journey I did in it was take the kids camping to Bridlington. I was amazed that all the kit fitted in the boot and we had a fantastic time.
Other than a breakdown on the way home, Lambda sensor gone, it performed flawlessly.
This hasn't been my first foray in to Italian cars, I used to own a X1/9 1998 model that was my pride and joy until a little old woman in a Micra decided to drive straight through a junction and hit me on the front drivers side. I cried when the insurance company wrote it off, and swore at them when they told me I couldn't buy it back. F737OPH rest in pieces.
I am useless at diagnosing problems but am willing to have a go if I know what is wrong.
I am restoring a 1971 Alfa GT Bertone Coupe at the moment, although I haven't got far with it.
So that's me
