Hi! The reason I'm here is that I've just came home from buying a 2006 Fiat Panda Active 1.1 5 Speed manual!
The engine has 45,000 miles on the clock, and apart from puffing out lots of grey smoke, and taking ages to start, it runs well.
I am sure the poor starting and smoke is just worn out spark plugs though, as plugs usually require replacing at around 40,000 miles.
The body is in good condition, however the plastic wheel trims are scuffed to high heaven, and the tyres are down to 1.4mm treads on the front and 1.6mm treads on the back.
The following has been done to the car prior to sale:
New brake pads and disks
New shock absorbers and springs all round
Wheel balancing and alignment
New serpentine belt fitted
New starter motor
New catalytic converter (failed the last emissions test because of CO levels)
New wiper blades all round
New front bumper (got smashed in January when the previous owner skidded in the snow and hit a motorway barrier)
New exhaust straps (snapped a couple of weeks ago)
And that is all, I believe! Good eh ?
And, I only paid £1,995 for it!
Plus, it comes with 12 months MOT and 9 months TAX.
So, all I need to do is give it a good service (spark plugs, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, power steering fluid etc...)
There is still about 1.5 hours worth of sunlight left and I have all the parts in my garage, so I guess I'll go and do the service now!
Bye!
