hello everyone
id like to ask your advise as you all seem to know your stuff on fiats, i have a w reg 1.2 yellow fiat punto sporting which i love but think im going to have to sell, basically i have a fault with my power steering which i seem to loose when i do a full lock, although recently i seem to loose the steering just pulling out of my drive, the sump has corroded and my heating doesnt work, its done 115000 miles but is in pretty good nick, do you think its worth spending money on as i think a new steering column could set me back £450, if not how much do you think it would be worth?
i would be grateful for your opinions

the sump can easily be replaced.. get a new one either on ebay or from some scrappy...

leila ,im sorry but i think the price you been told is good,but you have alot more problems with car[you can put stop leak in engine/power steering to sell on]but a car with this mileage and year your lucky to get £500 max with good mot+some tax in scotland.

mybe prices in england better but a honest opinion if get near £500 as you could, cost is about £1000+ to fix,using new parts,im sorry to mybe dissapoint you but why spend say £1000+ on a car thats only worth that value if sell on.

not wanting you to spend money for no reason[i buy/sell cars for a living and also do mechanics/bodyshops],

iam sorry,but as said why pay lots to get nothing back,try for sale in forum as might be good project for someone,[is there any tax and mot],and if in scotland i get loads of fiat cars due to me being friendly and doing paintwork for arnold clark.

the mot is due in 3 months and i think i have about 3 months tax on it, i live in kent so im abit of a distance from u! but i will hav a think about maybe sellin it here tho, cheers for the advice

also a mate that works with arnold clark told me you can use your car and get minimum trade price of a £1000 with 3-5 years 0%apr depending on car.
