I have at last got round to joining the Forum having had Fiats in the family since 1975! Currently own a lovely low mileage X1/9 and also look after my Wife's Barchetta which she has owned for 15 years.

Daily driver is currently a Jeep which I find OK but too full of electronic gizmos for my liking and I don't do much mileage now I'm retired. Am thinking seriously of getting another classic Fiat to run as my regular car when the Jeep goes in a couple of years time. Prime choice is a 5 door Tipo as I still think the 1.6 DGT I ran back in the 90's was the best all round car I ever had.

I hope those in the know on the Forum will be able to help me find something really good in due course.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Good to see there are others like me out there. It would be fun sometime to compare notes on the good, bad and ugly Fiats we have owned. Just remembered my Fiat experience goes back even further to around 1970 when my mother had a brand new 850 saloon from a tiny dealership in Market Drayton, Shropshire. Great little car and a bold step for my Dad who was previously a BMC only man.
