Hello,
I have been posting on this site for a couple of years now. I own a Seicento 2002 which I bought in 2016 with 54000 miles on the clock. It replaced a similar Seicento that I'd had for about eight years and which I knackered while driving it with the coolant warning light on. They are great cars, apart from (in my experience) handbrakes and fuel tanks.
I've been into DIY for about twenty years but cars have never appealed to me, I think because of how cramped everything is to access. But, finances have made me have to learn how to do my own repairs, and with the help of the people on this website, I am really enjoying it. I've bought some specialist tools and am working my way through the service schedule in the Haynes Manual. It is also nice to see the car engine looking clean and all the bolts greased, and saving money in the process.
One thing I am struggling with is where to buy parts from. The one I need at present is a two-piece bracket that clasps the from end of the exhaust pipe to the transmission box. Mine is all rusted, and I can't find one online. Where do people get parts like this from? Do they make their own?
Andrew (from Castleford).
