Hello there,

Marvin here. Just bought an 03 ulysse before christmas and first impressions were great. Better looking than the ****roen on poogeot ;)

Anyway, with any 10 year plus old car there are always going to be problems but it turns out that the previous owner was somewhat less than honest with me.

I knew it had an abs light and that the clutch was on its way out. Just had the clutch done and cam belt with water pump and thermostat too, its like driving a new car.

But now it needs both link rods done and both ball joint covers. There is something bent under there somewhere. Sometime since it was last mot'd the disengenuous toerag crashed it, probably into a big kerb and norsed it up.

Now, even worse, the pollution fault light has come up and the heating doesnt work properly. The knobs are unresponsive and some buttons do things they are not supposed to.

At the moment, i am fairly sure its the fuse box in the engine bay but it doesnt look corroded or even remotely damp.

Is there any way of competely wiping the fault codes off the ecu without having someone charge half an arm to plug it in? Just need to wipe them and drive it to see if they came back.

To say i am unhappy doesnt quite cut the mustard.

Looking forward to having it fixed so i can enjoy it (electric sliding doors is never going to get old:D ) and hopefully not having to drop another grand into it's gaping maw

Cheers,

Marv

Hi,
the MultiEcuScan software is the best product out there, (y)
and once you get your head around it..is very good,;)
I'm just getting going with it, and it's already diagnosed my airbag problem, and was an easy fix..so reckon that saved me £100 in a garage :D

Edit = Check the supported vehicles list, some PSA built vehicles use the PUG software..?? nexia..??

drop links are cheap / expendable items, :(
if you are prepared to change them yourself it's a quick + easy task, :)

I have all the spares you need, if you live near to Lincolnshire I can identify your faults and clear them with Lexia.

The blower fault is usually the block connector behind the glove box, give it a wriggle! If not there is a relay in the fuse box.

Cheers, sounds great but unfortunately, im sarf of the river guv. I had heard of the relay fault so its on my list of things to do but havent managed to wriggle the little bugger off its clip yet :)

Well stone me, this morning the replace engine light had gone out. Now i am totally confused. Bloody electrickery. I know where i am with a carburettor ;)

Bought all 4 types of relay from halfrauds, none which are right.

Somedays i wish i hadnt got out of bed :D
