Hi All,

Just joined the forum as I need some help with my old Uno Selecta. Wanted to introduce myself as I have recently purchased 2 old Fiats, both white!
My wife has the Uno Selecta and I got the Tipo 1.4.
In short, my wife owned an '88 Uno Selecta back in 1999 and loved it - I always though it a bit of a joke (at the time) but it was the only car that kept working while my complicated Nissan 300zx kept breaking down (at the time) until the Uno's cambelt snapped and off it went to the crusher. 21 years later and she found another one and I've grown to love the styling (very retro now) and found a matching Tipo (always liked those). Tempted to add a Coupe to the fleet too.
Very lucky really as both of these seem to have almost disappeared from our roads - especially the Selecta.

Hopefully be able to attend a meet when we are all allowed back out again.

Stay Safe,

Dominic

Any Selecta experts on here and/or Uno experts. I thinks the 1988 Uno Selecta is a 1.1 60 MK1 (I think).
Seems to stall when in park. Runs a little rough without choke once warm but manages to keep idle in N but rough in D or R and stalls in Park. Any ideas?

Hi again.. :)

Its OLD.. but the favourite when almost new was silly little plastic T pieces on the carb. Hoses.. they would split :(

Palio had one for years

They are nice cars..
was this car from near Bath?

Yes its the 1100 / 60hp IIRC

It was a french built gearbox.. joint venture fiat and ford

Later variant was electronically controlled.. nissan used them in micra

Classic Panda section has LOTS of Selecta info ;)

Thanks Charlie,

I did notice most of those hoses and connectors must have been replaced as they are mostly white and look 'newer' but I will definitely check those out. I got it nearer Cambridge area last summer. thanks for the info!
