Hello Im New & need some help & advice

Hey all

Im new as u can guess from the title lol finding it a bit hard to find my way round this forum but im sure i will get the hang of it.

I wonder if anyone can help me, im in a sticky situation i have a Fiat Stilo Abarth 2002 plate in silver that ive had issues with in the past i have paid to have a whole new engine and gear box put in just over a year ago and now something else has gone wrong ahhhhh.

I cant afford to fix her this time round so need some help and advise does anyone know anyone who would be interested in her how she stands or should i break her and sell as parts or go to the dreaded brokers yard??

Thing is she is in the bestest ever condition inside and out and has all the gadgets you can imagine and she is worth bout £1000-900 how she stands please can someone help me find a good home to my baby??????

Dont give up so easily if you love the car, If it's as good as you describe the Stilo guys in here might know an easy enough / cheap enough fix...

Can you describe what's wrong as best you can?

Ive been told buy a garage that its possibly the crank shaft again which if it is i reali cant afford to fix

Odd.... didnt you check oil weekly or what? New crankshAft correctly fitted & maintained should last more than a year TBH.

Its a 2.4l isnt it? I read in here these engines need real care & attention.

it is odd i know, yea it is a 2.4 and i did check the oil often and there is two oil things u can keep yr eye on, on the dash board so u knew when it was getting low etc.

I think I'd go back to the garage / dealer who did the crankshaft replacement & firmly request that they re0do it... so you dont have to go to Trading Standards (if you have service receipts etc) to back yourself up.
