Punto (Mk2/2b) Hello I am new here :D Speaker question plz

Hello,

I am new here how do you replace the whole speaker unit with an original speaker can I just take the whole old speaker unit out and put in the new one or do i still need to cut wires ?

it's for a fiat punto 2007 plate

yes that should work so long as they are the same size, and it depends on the type of connecters on the speakers if they dont fit you may have to strip the wires and get some bullet connecters

order some connectors off ebay

thats what i've done so i can connect my front speakers without slashing into the loom at all

You can just change the speakers for others just as long as the connectors are the same on the new ones as they were on the old.

If you do end up having to slice the cable do not remove the connector blocks just incase you would like to replace the old ones back into place,

Slice the wiring case open and not clipping the whole cable off then entwine new speaker cable on to the old and just tape with electrical tape, should be fine

pop your speaker out now - and have a look to see if its got a yellow connector on it

If it does - simply go on ebay and look up Fiat Speaker adaptor

some are black now i believe as well - check the shapes against the images

Adaptors are alot better in sense there is no mess and less hassel if you wish to quickly change speakers
