Hi guys,
Just thought I'd join as I'm back driving my Fiat Punto mk2 again and want to make the most of it!
It's a blue 2004 1.2 Active Sport. It came with a modified exhaust, not really my thing, but I've kept it on there as it's just a bit of fun I guess! I do notice that there are some slight fumes from time to time inside the car, and I guess it might be to do with the exhaust?
Anyway, bought it earlier in the year, then I went to Australia for 7 months, came back to find that no one had driven it around the block every so often for me like they said they would, so it resulted in a full set of seized brakes all over the car! Took it for MOT, failed of course due to brakes, also needed a new suspension arm and wheel alignment. Had a parents' friend sort it after we bought all the parts, took it for MOT again, failed AGAIN! They said the handbrake didn't work at all (it actually did, just too many clicks to pull up), and they said that the back brakes weren't working at all despite new shoes and cylinders. So it could be the adjuster, taking it back to my parents' friend to sort today. Fingers crossed!
The poor car has been a bit of an unlucky car. It previously had 9 owners (!!!) and I tried to sell it for about 2 months before I left to Australia, constantly reducing the price, but it failed to sell at all. ONE person looked at it and said no. It's a curse on me right now! But if I'm living with it, then I want to make the most of it!
So that's my story for now
Cheers!
