bought it last February for a decent price. It's my first car so I hate having to let my mam use it on the rare occasion. I've seen a few Puntos flying around up here in Newcastle. Nice to meet you all hahaha!

Welcome, where in the town are you from?? I'm originally from Gateshead but now in Scotland,

Welcome to the forum, tidy punto you got there, look after it and it'll look after you! :D (y)
Thanks mate! I love my Punto me! However she's in need of a respray on the rear bumper after some pleb went into the back of me whilst my car was parked up at work. The paint work has now flaked and its spoilt the back of the car. Was and still am quite peed off.

What's the purpose of the ECU Scan? I'm new to the whole car diagnostics and technical language haha!

Just to help you out here, the whole purpose of an ECU scan on your doorstep is basically to save you some monies in the long run not only that what this does is scans your car for any errors that it may have. Say for example, Airbag light you can diagnose the issue with the correct lead (I believe ELM 327) and coloured lead and it'll tell you what the error is and allows you to reset the light on the dashboard.

This video below is not mine but it gives a good example of using FES/MES:

It's worth downloading this and opting in for full version :)

Hope that helps!

Imagine on another car you get the check engine light come on, its the same with fiats, but with FES/MES I can scan for the faults and interpret the results, it was bloody handy on my stilo which had near constant airbag faults, saved me a lot of money taking it to fiat each time the airbag fault lit up
