Hi newbee here, be gentle...

I bought a 2004 1.2 8v punto. It has a couple of minor issues.

1. When i open either the passenger or driver door there is a strange clicking noise which only lasts for about 1-2 secs(defo nothing to do with the doors). It sounds like its coming from the stereo. If i switch the interior light to off position it stop. I was giving the dash a quick once over and must of nudged the indicator lever up and it also caused the same clicking noise. Any ideas?

2. The handbrake light just comes on whilst driving for no apparent reason. Ive checked the brake fluid level which is band on between min and max. Any ideas?

Hi ryan welcome to fs.

The first issue almost sounds like it may be a relay? Tho I may be wrong.

Second may be a dodgy connection?? Check the little cable that connects to the handbrake to make sure its connected properly. May just be that its loose?? Again...jist a couple of thoughts the others will no doubt chip in with more ideas

Welcome to FS, sounds like a wire has bared somewhere and is earthing out, some of the more clued up folk will be able to point out where the most likely places will be to check.
