I should have found this page 2 years ago when we first got her Panda, a 2010 Cross.

Sadly a fortnight ago after covering 210k miles it decide to suffer from diesel run away.

We were lucky enough to find another locally so here we are. Off to have a wander through the Panda section, but may dip in to the Strada and 131 pages to reminisce from 30 years ago.

Do you think it was a typical DPF issue.. (fuel loading of the oil), or just bad luck?

210k is pretty good, had you spent money on timing chain work by then?

I am more WestBerks than Langley,
Not many knowledgeable dealers around compared to those days 40 years ago

Didn't realise these had a DPF.

Didn't have the chain replaced, it was a tad rattly, we got it at 170k miles

At 2010 it probably did,

DPF equipped cars need servicing correctly, plugging in and telling ECU that oil has been changed

Noting the Oil Degradation and DPF
Flow figures.

If it gets out of sync.. It will keep performing "Regens", this adds so much fuel, that it poisons the oil

You will see a rising level on the dipstick
