I'm thinking about buying a 54 plate punto for my mrs.

I am a regular of alfaowner dot com. and I am looking here for advice as this site was recommended. I've spotted a few names I recognise already.

You don't say which model Punto it is but its always a good idea to browse the sections and see what faults have cropped up with the car and then go and buy a Panda :slayer:

The grand punto, probably the 1.4 model. Mark 3 is it? Well, anyhoo that's why I'm here. The panda gets a nice rating. I love the 500 though

Hi, Im on alfaowner too so is 'jug'. Unfortunatly I wasn't on for very long mostly due to my Alfa not lasting very long . As for Punto's one of the best ones you can get is the 1.4 16v mk2b 'Sporting' Its very nippy as its got the same engine thats in the Panda 100HP (not far off the HGT 1.8!) but without the running costs i.e you can get more than 40mpg . Can get one absolutly in mint condition for about £5k.
