Hello all, I am a Cinq owner who has previously owned a 126 (which I couldn't fix) and a 2cv (which never went wrong). I am probably a bit old to be driving such a small car at 31, but it really is great fun and I know a bit about how it works so there is a sense of familiarity. I find you becmoe attached to these things after a while, and have got an attachment to the Fiat after a year of ownership. I have previously owned a Punto which I liked but it didn't work very well, and seeing it on the back of a low loader does little to endear you to a car..... I make a living as a watchmaker, I am used to working on much smaller mechanical items than the average Fiat. I am trying to look after the Chinq myself and am attempting the water pump this weekend, so lets hope for some good weather. I have found this forum an excellent read and hope to bring my own unique blend of stupidity and ignorance to the forum.

Just to get on my soap box quickly, it is such a shame that people are being encouraged to scrap their old cars, new cars have no character and are dull and boring in my opinion. So long live the Fiats, they may not work
all the time but at least they have a bit of flair and passion and they are certainly idiosyncratic!

Best wishes to all Fiat owners

Simon
