Hello to all the wise ppl. who have fiat's,I need some help with a gearbox prob,hope someone out there has the answer

Forgot to mention the prob DOH!, I got a new clutch release bearing fitted ,but need gearbox, need to know if a 1200 16v gearbox will fit my 8v active,its on a 52 plate

8v will fit 8v and 16v will fit 16v dont think they inter fit with one another..welcome to the forum..
