500 Hello! Fiat 500c Internal Lining Query

Hello Fiat Forum Lovers

I am a Newbie.

I've been enjoying over 5 years ownership of my 500c and on a mission to find other owners who've got the filthy interior hood liner! The grime is mainly concentrated on the back around the window.

I think it can be taken off to be cleaned properly, as I can feel the clips internally but before I do anything I wanted to ask if anyone else has done this?

The mohair is in excellent condition so I don't need a replacement hood.

Hello, Annabelle and welcome to the forum.

We've had our 500C for nearly 6 years now and it has suffered the same problem - black dirt around the sides and rear of the white inner liner. Ordinary upholstery cleaners just seem to spread it around and make it worse, so are no good at all.

I eventually bought some "Fabric Cleaner" from Trafalgar Chemicals (link below). This is very powerful stuff (we use it at work to clean bus and coach interiors) but if you follow the instructions it will remove ANY dirt. DO NOT breath the vapour though!
