500 Hello All

I just signed up, my wife has a Fiat 500 1.2 Pop 2010.

In the 500 forum i posted in a thread about electrical gremlins and would appreciate any advice. Basically when the right hand indicator is on the engine management light and seatbelt light flash at the same time and rate. Doesnt happen with left indication.

Also a Power Steering warning message appears every so often but I am associating it with cold weather so far and it has no affect on the power steering.

Is a New battery worth a shot?

It would be a good place to start also check the terminals on the battery are not loose

Hi and welcome. Couple of questions: When was your 2010 POP registered? If it was registered early 2010, you can bet the car will have been built in 2009, so if you are on the original battery it's going to be on dodgy turf I suspect being at the very least 4 years old, possibly 5 years old.

Is the car Stop/Start?

It is March registered and it does not have stop start. I did a quick check of the battery last month when the power steering message appeared and it seemed normal to me voltage wise. Its not helped that the car is mainly used for short journeys as my wife doesn't like driving and only uses it to go back and forward to work which is only a 15 minute drive each way.
