General hello - a little advice needed re to buy or not...

we're thinking about buying a Ulysse...

We've seen an 02 diesel model on Ebay.. here's the thing - it's got 260K on the clock....

The dealer's been upfront with it having been used as a taxi but it's only had the one owner & has allegedly had a new engine last year & has apparently been well-looked after....

AND the dealer offers a warranty....

Other downside is that it's in Stockport & we're in West Wales but that's another issue!!

Anyway - wwyd? go take a look or not touch with a barge pole?

Also what are they like as a car in general?

can you get proof of new engine at all? how many miles has the new engine covered of that 260K?

I live just outside Stockport, so if it's still available and you're still interested, I'll go and have a shufti for you. I'm no mechanic, but I can give you a general idea as to its condition.
