hi thr,new too this fiat forum, have actually owned two fiat punto,s in the matter of 20months,originally i had 1.2 active 54reg,and now im the proud owner ov o4 reg active sport,yh i n o older car but its colour and model i wanted originally and yh im a woman lol, question i have is i had a kenwood head unit in my 1st punto which i gotta say i fitted myself split the wires so tht yellow went to red and vice versa,fair does have to be sure to take front off or push the off button wen i get out car but tht not a prob 4 me im used to it now, upon changing my car i transferd kenwood to nxt punto i had worked perfectly that is till the other day when my illumination on the head unit decided to give up the ghost, everything else is still working perfectly,me being a woman thought it was probably because my daughter knocked face out my hand and hurdled it 200yards doen the street so went to my local halfords and bought a new JVC head unit, got home and started to fit into my punto,here is where we hit the problem....ive tried every combination ov red to red yellow to yellow red to yellow etc with the wiring coming out ov the head unit but no joy,my beloved new stereo will not co-operate , it wil accept the disc and briefly lights up loading and thn the illumination goes off and the head unit does nothing upon pressing eject the cd ejects the display lights up eject and once again the head unit is dead so to say,as im new to this please be kind but if there is any1 out there who could shed a bit of light on the subject i would be eternally grateful because as im a woman i jst wanna get cd player and sum fitted like yesterday lol
