Hi,

Would appreciate some advice on a problem with the heater fan on my multipla, today the fan went onto max power and stayed there, with the controls having no effect. It even stays on after turning off the ignition and pulling the key. I've had to pull the fuse to stop running down the battery!!
I have read the older posts on heater problems, but couldn't see anything similar. I checked the connections and they all look in good condition, the outside temp is shown (until I pull the fuse!), air-con is working fine.

This is on a 2006 Multipla 1.9 Multijet, with climate control air-con. Any ideas on the likely cause ?

Thanks for your help

Paul

This is now sorted. If anyone has a similar problem, it was fixed by replacing the rheostat / resistor controller for the heater fan. This is located very near to the fan motor, which is above the passengers feet. Initially I was sent the wrong part which was £55+vat, but this was for the non-aircon version, the air-con version is about double this! Luckily I was able to claim on a warranty which expires in 3 days. Cheers Paul
