Hi, can anyone help me with my heater problem?

The fan has hardly any power, it just doesnt change. There is some air coming out and the temperature does change.

There aren't any other obvious side-effects I can think of. and it has been suggested to me that the fault lies with the resistor pack.

so if anyone knows about this or has any other ideas their advice would be much appreciated.

p.s. I have posted this in two sections not meaning to spam but the problem is a bit urgent. the car is a Tipo 1.6 i.e

Resistor pack should be bypassed for full speed on the fan, you could try this to see. Might be a switch problem.

Does the teapot have a filter on the air intake, such as a pollen filter? (Excuse my ignorance, never owned one.) If it does have one, it might need changing.

Well it doesn't seem to be a resistor problem, as u say. Changed one from a scrappy today for £3 so no major loss. However I swapped a dead fuse a bit after for a good'un (same ampage) and the fan started up again, albeit for 5 seconds til the fuse blew.

Can't see how it would be a switch problem going by that?

Anyway I'm going to try some new fuses tomorrow and see how that helps.
