General heater direction

Has anyone ever had this before? the right hand knob that controls where the air goes from the heater ( ie footwell screen face etc) does not go all the way round to the 'screen' position. it feels like there is something restricting it's movement, but not sure if it's something in the heater box or just a cable out of adjustment or worn.
Any ideas before i strip it all down?:idea:

My short answer is 'no' - but I had a similar thing on a Ford Ka after the dash had been stripped to fix an a/c leak. On the Ka there was a cable like a bike brake cable plugged in to the back of the heater control which evidently had been put back with a kink. I unplugged it, let it un-tension itself and plugged it back, and it was fine.

I have no idea if the Multi uses the same system, but I expect it is similar becuase it must be mechanical in some way if it stops - I know in some cars it's all electric.
