Heater Dials

Hi all

Searching the above subject through the forum and found this thread - http://www.network54.com/Forum/15639/thread/1143538038/ - and thought it would be good for some people to revisit it to see how cool Wimmy's car looks lol.

Anyways, I'd like to make up some of my own dials. Has anyone got any guides, templates, pics for inspiration, hints or tips on how to make them and how to get access to remove them etc?

I designed the template and it took me f**kin ages, to get right. Wimmy did have the template from me as he loved them sooo much and changed it slightly lol

I think Wimmy lost the template though, I know i did when i moved to vista. I am almost sure we were the only two, i know i didn't do any for anyone else.

the print itself was done on oht inkjet paper, that plastic stuff you use on over head projectors.

Yep their the one's. I want them in blue to go with my dials.

I really don't fancy doing the template myself if it took you ages lol.

Fingers crossed that Wimmy still has it.

Unfortunately not. I am also one of the unlucky souls to move to the dark side of Vista and lost a lot of stuff on the way (including all boo e-mails for 3years grrrr).

Should be easy enough to make another template up though if you have a decent scanner. Take old ones out and scan them. Tidy up the outline and away you go.

Acetate is the stuff you need to use not ink jet paper. Just make sure you get the right one for your printer so the ink doesnt run when warmed.

Hmm... got the equipment but the know-how! Lol

Do you need to remove the whole panel off to get the dials out? I think once I get them out I'll be away.

Also, what pc program did you use to design them?

I did mine in photoshop. And yes, u need to take the centre section out to get at them

has anybody done the originals with blue light?

it took me about 20mins to scrape all the green from the back lol

I added green fllm on them becouse all my interior lights are green and red.

I just took orginal ones out, scanned them and made these ones in photoshop
