Heater and seats !

Freddy's heater has stopped working. Well it makes a noise but it won't blow air through. I get warm air in the car when the car is moving but nothing else.

Going to tackle it on sunday but any pointers as to what could be the problem ??

Also, the front seats are the ones with the tilting knob/handle thingy level with the seat base but I noticed in the scrappies last week that the later Uno's have a differently placed knob/handle thingy which is on the side of the seat back.

Anybody know which seats will be a direct replacement ??

No idea about the heater, but seats from later Unos are a straight swap. The lifting mechanism is the same, it's just the tilt mechanism thats different.

I did the same thing a few years back to a 1984 Uno in which the seats were worn to the thread.

Are there many different interior for the Uno ?? Ones I've got in now (the originals), are sort of turquoise checked. Seats aren't worn, they're just a bit saggy. Do some of the later Unos have front seats with the side bolsters ?? Fancy summat a bit comfy for my aged back !!

My 1994 1.1 ieS has better padded seats than any of my previous Unos. Look for seats out of a later better spec car. Here's my car;

Very nice I shall get my mate on the job again. He got my new wheels/tyres at a bargain price so hopefully he can find me some seats.

Freddy's rear seat is the 60/40 split one. How many of the later Unos had the same rear split seat. Any idea ?? Or will a later full rear seat be a straight swap for the split one ??

I think I need to make Freddy his own page on my website !!

My Uno has the 60/40 split rear seats. I have no idea if they would fit in a Mk1 Uno as I've never tried. Anyone else know?
