Just some advice please guys and gals, drivers side front light seems like its knackered, there is light coming from it (like sidelight strength) when I have dipped headlights on, am assuming bulb needs replacing and, checked manual, seems straight forward..... just wanna know how long roughly it'll take and if investing in large packets of Elastoplast might be useful before starting!

the drivers side is easy, plenty of room. About 5 -10 mins whit no problems

As Sven says, 5-10 minute job. Do be careful not to break the tab that secures the plastic cover. This is very easily done and the plastic tab, once broken, isn't glue friendly.
I ended up buying a new cover from Fiat (@ £4.50).
I got some great Xenon Bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com.
The Brava/o uses H1 type bulb for dipped and another H1 for main beam. Xenon far superiour to standard bulbs, definitely worth the money.
Hope all goes well.

Dont bother with the Xenon look rubbish, go buy the Osram Silverstar if you want to have good bright light. They claim to give +50% more light. These are the brightest and best halogen bulb for the Bravo, since we all know the Bravo has poor lightning, get the brightest.

They average around £17 a pair, if you look around you'll get them cheaper.

Replace the bulbs in both headlights if you decide to change to the Osram ones. Otherwise just buy a standard H1 Halogen bulb to match the otherside.

Xenon is the gas in the bulb. Both Osram & Philips ( and Powerbulb) use it to obtain the 50% brightness over ordinary Halogen bulbs.
The Powerbulbs are the same as their more expensive rivals but I got two pairs for £16 and they sent me some Philips BlueVision sidelights free!
For headlights though I prefer the pure white light as opposed to the "Blueish" type. Both types are Xenon gas bulbs, and they are a direct replacement for ordinary H1's.

Obviously if you change from Halogen to Xenon you'll need to do both headlights, but you'll certainly notice the difference. The first time you drive down an unlit road you'll be glad you changed from Halogen H1's to Xenon H1's.

go to www.consumabulbs.com the Osram Silverstars are £12.99 with free delivery.

Forget getting free blue sidelights from powerbulbs. If you want some sidelights with it buy them from consumabulbs for £3.95

So its cheaper anyway!

On the subject of xenon lights etc...anyone got bluish xenon lights on that can supply some pics? Wondered what would be like on bravo, but haven't seen one yet :s

Re: slightly stealing the thread here but...

to any1 thinking of putting in higher wattage bulbs in a bravo, don't one of my friends with a bravo done this and cracked the glass on the unit. very expensive mistake.

Re: slightly stealing the thread here but...

You may run the risk of melting your wiring too...

55w to 100w is a big jump.

above 55w is illegal anyway
