Any chance you could post a larger version of that pic? The normal lenses are on the bottom?

Is it me of does the main beam bit look bigger on the halogen units

High beam is smaller on xenon because it's not as important as on the low spec lights. in the xenon lights the low beam is raised when you activate the high beam which results in a much better high beam than the normal lights despite the reflector being smaller.

It's a bit like the high beam on the GP except that this has an extra reflector for even more light on high beam.

Think mine has normal bulbs in standard halogen lights, they are only bad in the time of morning/night when its getting light/dark, but then 99% of head lights are. Perfectly fine when its darker and much better than my old Focus that had Osram Nightbreakers in.

Im using the Phillips Xtreme bulbs. Much better over the normal ones! Just remember both the dipped and high beam are both H1. I got confused and changed the high beam and wondered why dip wasnt any better :p

I got a set of these when a bulb went. To be quite honest I can hardly see a difference... The light may be a little whiter when you look at the car with the lots on but it's barely noticeable.

To be precise the bulbs were from Amazon and called -
Philips 12258-XVS2 H1 X-Treme Power 100% Headlight Bulbs

What side lights are people using standard ones aren't that bright.

H1? I thought the bravo had 2 sets of H7 bulbs (dipped and high beam). Which one is it?

Hello Tad, im from Argentina, i have a bravo with alogen bulb. can i add the ds1 lamp in my h1 and add the high beam in a lens?

thank you best whishes from Bs As

Andres

lol a requirement in Argentina? haha that is? Argentina is a disaster in traffic rules.
there is a technical verification, police checks cars yet lol disarm alone, or with a version of patent 15 years ago you circulate banned, 75 year cars without lights on motorways are. we work and strive that we all must pay per day, or they fine = (

I'm currently going through this issue. Yesterday I replaced my standard bulbs with off road blue tint h1s. Considering they are 100 watt bulbs I still can hardly see. Only plus is a whiter light. Anyone know of an easy way to sort this let me know as I'm taking these bulbs back and re fitting the standard ones later

Dont use those 100W bulbs, it will melt harness, reflector etc.
I once tried Philips 100W bulb, but i didnt see 2x more light only extreme heat from bulb.

I think HID is best and cheapest solution. I use them, although in my country also you need washers and auto light level, but if you use 4500-5000K there is no noticeable blueish tone in light pattern.
Even halogen light produce at certain angle blue-puprleish tone.
Maybe try to instal ballasts under light cluster to make in no noticeable.
I passed MOT many years with HID in Marea, no question asked from examiner

I had the same problem with my triumph motorbike had the same frosted lights putting in 55w hids made riding a little better , now taken these out of the bike seen as Ive sold it and put them in the bravo to say there 55w ones theres not much difference its the frosted lens that's zapping all the beam think might eventually get new lens fitted from halo eyes
