Headgasket replaced but e/m light is still on

in a nut shell my engine died, cylinder 2 and 3 lost compression because the hg went, at the same time it caused my cam belt to seize up so that had to be replaced also. but its all fixed now after alot of money. so i get in my car to drive it away and then engine management light is on. it wasnt even on when the headgasket had gone in the first place, so why is it on now its fixed?? drove it home and switched the engine on and off multiple times, still on. but the car drives smooth.

the garage said it has been reset and will eventually go, but im not convinced. has anyone experienced this? or atleast know whats going off?

any help is needed please

Hi Liam you need to find out what the code is, if it's been reset but it has come back on then unfortunately the fault, what ever it is, is still there.

How do i find out the code? and will that tell me then why the E/M light is on?

get the garage to read and tell you the code, chances are they have left a plug loose on a sensor or some thing simple like that, or the crap going through exhaust when hg was gone has now killed a lambda
