If was to buy a kit like this , possibly not this exact one but along the line of this, will my steering wheel controls work adding the harness that comes with this set ?

You'd need to ask the seller, but at that price I doubt it'd include the steering control patch lead as its about £35 for the part alone depending upon where you buy it from.
