Head unit refusing to come out

Hi, just bought a R reg punto 1.2 sporting. And my head unit is refusing to come out cause I want to fit my sony CD player!

Any ideas!

check the punto forum was a thread on there recently concerning this but the main points to cover are listed below: -

are you using the 'u' shaped tool to pull it out with?... has the previous kind sod bolted it to the dash behind the stereo to stop someone from nicking it?.. and are the cables caught up in the dash?

check all of this and if you're still having problems then check back...

I'll try the coat hanger trick see if that works, but when I tried to pull it out the left hand side came out but the right hand side just didn't move at all!
